THE WRITERS
Brett Barry is an English teacher with a Bachelor’s in English Education and a Master’s in Literature. Brett has mainly written poetry and flash fiction in the past and is currently working on his first novel. Brett’s writing typically leans towards humor or horror and oftentimes blurs the line between both.

Nick Benton is a poet, playwright, storyteller, and educator based in Oklahoma City. This year, he became much more active in the local writing scene, participating in events, workshops, and readings with the Literati Press Writers Co-Op, Red Dirt Poetry, and Theatre Crude. Nick is currently chipping away at two plays, a fantasy novel, a wacky queer ghost story, and as much new poetry as the universe deems fit for him to write.

Bee Cordera is a published poet, nonfiction writer, and emerging journalist. They mostly write on the intersection between climate change, environmental justice, and culture, but lately Bee has taken more of a general assignment approach to journalism. Bee currently writes for The Black Wall Street Times. Their work can be found on NPR, Grist, The New Territory, Atmos, Next City, and Nexus Media News. She received her MFA from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. When she is not reporting, or writing poetry, Bee teaches poetry, watches anime, and roller skates in her free time.
Kristen Grace is a journalist for 405 Magazine and Art Focus and a graduate from Oklahoma City University’s Red Earth MFA program. She has authored a poetry collection, The Skull Tree, a picture book, The Stepmother Who Believed in Feathers, as well as Wings, a collection of feminist fairy tales, through Literati Press. She is currently publishing a series of chapbooks called The Fierce Mosaics Projects for new poets through the Literati Writers Co-Op and The Leaves Poetry Press.

Charles J. Martin is the writer for Glamorella’s Daughter, We Promised Utopia, and author of nine novels as well as a screenwriter for two feature films. In 2010, Martin founded Literati Press Comics & Novels, a boutique book publisher dedicated to representing innovative genre storytelling in Oklahoma and surrounding states. In 2016, Martin opened a retail bookshop in the Paseo Arts District in Oklahoma City, then a Writers Co-Op and Creative Writing Center in 2024.

Rob Sturma is a poet and editor who has explored pop culture in poetry through publication and performance. He is on the Board of Directors of Red Dirt Poetry and someday hopes to be the only human actor in an all-Muppet cast.
The Literati Press Writer’s Co-op is a community of practicing storytellers, working within fiction, poetry, filmmaking, visual arts, music, and other related fields. Our primary function is to foster community, intersectionality, and literary citizenship to help each other become better readers, writers, and storytellers by serving as each other’s champions and collaborators.Open hours are available for all members for co-working, member-led workshops and events, or to just sit in a quiet space to contemplate their next masterpiece. We will also be pursuing member-chosen, funded, and directed initiatives including a literary magazine, master classes, and keynote speakers. For more information on membership dues, benefits, and other details, please write to us at writerscoop@literatipressok.com.
