Extended family, former lovers, lifelong friends, and longtime enemies connect, collide, and debate whether or not life really sucks in Aaron Posner’s hilarious update to the classic play, UNCLE VANYA.
“Aaron Posner’s bitingly funny, unexpectedly touching play also delivers significantly more.” —New York Times
“…[a] delightful Chekhov riff…The play defies traditional categories like ‘comedy’ or ‘drama,’ so let’s just settle for calling it ‘fantastic.’” —Time Out Chicago
“Life sucks, maybe, but watching the Posner play is pure bliss.” —DC Theatre Scene

EVERY CASTLE, RANKED
Created by Lindy West & Ahamefule J. Oluo
Performed by Lindy West
April 10-19, 2026
in partnership with Oklahoma Contemporary
A castle is the ultimate “expectation vs. reality” meme. Lindy grew up dreaming of magic beyond everyday life, but reality has a way of grinding the fantasy out of you. Pets and parents die, dreams get downsized, and it turns out castles aren’t magical at all—they’re just wet, stinking military installations. Outrageous! NYT Best-Selling Author Lindy West takes audiences on a hilarious, bittersweet journey from hope to disillusionment, and back again.
“A totally entertaining and original writer…I dare you to feel differently.”— Ira Glass, This American Life
